The participants of the meeting discussed the program of free access to information to support normal functioning of the global community and social development.
The parties dwelled upon learning and discussed the social-cultural problems in light of rural reforms, namely, the development of libraries as information-cultural centers and hearts of spirituality in the village communities.
The meeting was held on the eve of the committee hearings "Development of Village Libraries as Information and Cultural Centers" scheduled for May 18, 2011.
Deborah Jacobs, director of the Global Libraries initiative, and Matej Novak, director of the Global Libraries Ukraine, attended the meeting.
